Naamkaran Sanskar is the first rights after the birth of a child does immediately after birth there is a law of Jatkarma Karma rights.

In Indian tradition the name is given on the birth of the child by looking at the time day and position of the solar system. It is said that the name of child should be kept in the first or second letter of the Hindi alphabet.
